Well, we’ve made it! Many of our Delaware finalist have checked in, received their judging assignments and are getting ready for their time to shine. Today was just a whirlwind of meeting students from 50 states, growing up a little when the student has to register themselves (a requirement) and sitting in the huge stadium filled with cheering students, parents, teachers and state coordinators. Of course, the best is still to come, and this was only a sampling of what the next few days will hold for the students.
I’m excited to relate that some of our Delaware finalists have decided to stay here while competing. I know this doesn’t sound like a big deal but when you live so close many decide to commute and then (at least I feel). You just don’t get the complete competition experience. Of course, no matter if the students stays or commutes, we are so thrilled to see everyone here, competing (and hopefully winning) for the great State of Delaware!
I’m so proud of everyone and I look forward to keeping everyone updated! Let me know if you want to know about what’s happening in the competition and I’ll try to answer any and all questions that come in!
